“Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope empathy, accountability, and authenticity.” Brene Brown
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in Education from the University of Notre Dame and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health from Villanova University. I am passionate about wellness and have gained extensive experience working with general anxiety, relationships (healthy attachment, codependency, disconnection, family of origin, Adult Children of Alcoholics), and life transitions. My practice focus is on individual counseling for adults (21+) as well as pre-marital and couples counseling (including couples looking to decouple peacefully).
My goal is to provide high quality clinical care by collaborating with you to identify areas of dysregulation/disconnection, limiting beliefs, increase emotional management, and utilize practical strategies for coping, relaxation, distress tolerance, self compassion and self awareness. I strive to cultivate a safe, calming environment to explore present concerns, heal past pain, and promote positive strategies for relating to self, others, and the world. Above all I value confidentiality, compassion, goal-oriented treatment, and utilizing evidenced based practices including CBT, DBT, EFT and mindfulness.
My career began at the Domestic Abuse Project of Delaware County, outside Philadelphia, PA, as head of clinical services working with women and children impacted by various forms of abuse. The focus was to partner with women seeking to establish healthier relationships with themselves and others and to rebuild lives of hope. I have a passion for health and wellness and the importance of looking at the whole person mind, body, spirit. I worked as a Multi Systemic therapist at Child Guidance Resource Centers and an outpatient therapist for individuals and couples at Life Counseling Services before pursuing private practice. As a private practice clinician I am committed to lifelong learning and growth as a therapist. I engage in peer consultation, continuing education, and advanced training opportunities.
